The Bingham’s enviable location, in the heart of Richmond attracts visitors from all over the world who wish to discover the area’s many attractions, parks, gardens or simply wonder along the River Thames.

Sport:

The Bingham is close to the RFU at Twickenham, Wimbledon tennis and the London’s last remaining Polo Clubs, Ham Polo. Golf is available at The Richmond Golf Club and horse riding in Richmond Park

Cycling:

Richmond Park offers first class cycling, and for a more genteel bike ride it is possible to follow the river tow path outside the Bingham to Windsor or Putney.

Messing about on the river:

Passenger boats go to Hampton Court, Kew Gardens, and Central London from April -October www.wpsa.co.uk

Culture: Richmond Theatre stages pre and post West End productions, and is a classic Victorian theatre.  The Orange Tree is a contemporary theatre, London’s only permanent theatre in the round, staging its own productions frequently featuring new playwrights. The Curzon cinema, Richmond Filmhouse shows art house films.


Historic Houses: Richmond, a royal retreat for centuries, is home to a number of historic houses including Ham House, Hampton Court Palace, Syon House, Kew Palace, Marble Hill, Chiswick House, and Strawberry Hill. Parks and Gardens: World famous Richmond Park and Petersham Meadows are adjacent to the Bingham and nearby are Kew Gardens, the famous bird sanctuary, the Wetland Centre; Marble Hill Park, Syon Park,  Osterley Park and Bushy Park are all within easy reach.
