To celebrate Chocolate Week (11-17 October) The Bingham, has joined forces with holder of the title Best British Chocolatier for the last three years William Curley and our Executive Chef, Shay Cooper, will be incorporating chocolate in his tasting menu during the week. To launch the initiative, there will be a special Chocolate Lover’s Gala Dinner on Monday 11th October and it will include desserts made by William Curley and a tutored chocolate tasting by him as part of the meal.
The Gala dinner, which includes specially selected wines to accompany the meal, costs £120 per ticket. For the rest of Chocolate Week (including Saturday 16th October) Shay will be incorporating different chocolate elements into the Bingham’s tasting menu which is available Monday to Saturday evenings at £65. In addition, a special taster plate of Chocolate desserts both of which will be available for all diners to order throughout Chocolate week.
For each Gala dinner ticket, and for each special Chocolate taster plate of desserts sold, a donation of £7 will be made to the Chefs Adopt a School Trust, a charitable long-term project run by the Academy of Culinary Arts, which introduces young children to ‘real’ food and among other things teaches them about food provenance – something about which both Cooper and Curly feel passionate.
The chocolate inspired Tasting Menu will be available for dinner Tuesday 12 October up to and including Saturday dinner October 16. All products used are fresh, and will be subject to replacement in case of unavailability.
