Afternoon tea has been enjoyed in our well-dressed lounge bar, overlooking the river Thames, for over a century.
Afternoon tea dates back to 1840 and was introduced by the Duchess of Bedford to plug the gap between lunch and dinner and went on to become a fabulous, fashionable, social affair.
180 years later, the affection for English afternoon tea is still as strong, combining the British obsession with tea and our love of cake.
At the Bingham we treat it as a special occasion and it includes delicate sandwiches, warm homemade scones, cakes and patisseries, Devonshire clotted cream and homemade jams at £25 per head or £36 with a glass of Laurent-Perrier champagne.
We can offer gluten-free and dairy-free options.
